Why we currently use FedEx for U.S. orders

  • At this time, Japan Post services are unavailable for shipments to the United States.
    For this reason, all U.S. orders are currently shipped via FedEx.
  • We use DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping, which means all applicable duties and taxes are collected at checkout.
    No additional charges will be requested upon delivery.
  • Please note that this shipping arrangement is temporary and may change if Japan Post services resume in the future.

 

About customs-related fees

  • When shipping with FedEx, customs clearance fees may apply depending on the contents of your order.
  • Some fees are included in the shipping cost, while others are displayed separately in the cart to ensure transparency.

 

FedEx Customs Classification Fee (by Product Type)

  • FedEx requires customs declarations to be classified by product category.
    If a shipment contains multiple product types, each product type must be declared separately, which results in an additional customs classification fee.
  • This fee is charged per product type, not per item.
  • The fee will appear in your cart as:
    “FedEx Customs Classification Fee (Product Type)”

 

How to reduce customs classification fees

To help keep fees as low as possible, we recommend:

  • Purchasing multiple items within the same product type
  • Avoiding orders that combine many different product categories, if possible

Orders containing a wide variety of product types may incur higher total classification fees.

We understand this may influence how you shop, and we appreciate your understanding.

 

U.S. Import Duties

  • Pricing in our U.S. market reflects overall import-related costs associated with shipping to the United States, including applicable import duties and related compliance expenses.
  • We ship under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms, which means FedEx remits applicable import charges to U.S. Customs on your behalf.
    You will not be asked to pay additional import duties upon delivery when ordering through our U.S. market.
  • Please note: Import duties, customs regulations, and trade policies are determined by U.S. authorities and may change without prior notice. U.S. market pricing is established based on overall import conditions at the time of sale and may be adjusted as necessary.
  • Because regulatory decisions and customs assessments are outside of our control, pricing differences resulting from government policy changes do not qualify for refunds, reimbursements, or post-purchase adjustments once an order has been completed. We appreciate your understanding.

  • No surprise charges will be requested upon delivery.
  • Fees are determined by U.S. customs regulations and FedEx requirements.
  • Customers shipping to a U.S. address are responsible for ensuring they are ordering through our U.S. market.
